| August 12 - Honeymoon Island, Palm Harbor |
Sam first visited the beach during a visit to Aunt Kath's house in Palm Harbor. We were having lunch at the cafe on the Gulf coast beach of Honeymoon Island when we decided to take Sam down to the water for an impromtu first (saltwater) dip. He was so into the sand and water that we couldn't even get him to look up for a photo!
He seemed to enjoy the beach so much that we decided to take him back the following weekend. This time we visited the Atlantic coast at Daytona Beach Shores. We spent some time lounging by the hotel pool, where Sam was admired by all the little girls playing in the water, and played in the soft sand of along the shoreline. We sat him as far back as we thought the water line would come, but of course a tiny wave still managed to find him and knock him right over. It clearly scared us more than it scared him!

We are loving that Sam enjoys the water so much and can't wait to make more memories at the beach with our little beach bum!
